Today I realized that I have not been looking at the positive things as much as I should be. I was sitting in J's kitchen, watching him and his mom put together a bunk bed that J has had since he was little, but recently broke. The bed took a lot of work to put back together. The bed needed to be stripped of its paint, cleaned, and glued back together. I realized that if that bed had been in my house, it probably would have been replaced, but J's mother took hours and hours getting the bed to look even better than it did to begin with.

That really inspired me. I need to start recognizing things for their potential, rather than for their cracks and scars.
